Pemba

Pemba, the island located north of Zanzibar, greener and hillier than its “sister” has only recently become tourist destination, so there are fewer accommodation facilities compared to Zanzibar and, above all, it lacks the so-called “intermediate category” so the choice is limited to extremely basic or very exclusive facilities. The flights to Pemba are via Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar.
